Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 27, 2026
This policy describes what ellemakebetter.com stores in your browser, why, and how to change it. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so something can be remembered between pages or between visits. Similar technologies — local storage in particular — do the same job without a cookie file. This policy covers both.
Consent Comes First
In short: analytics and marketing cookies stay switched off until you agree to them. You can accept everything, reject everything non-essential, or choose category by category — and you can change your mind at any time from the cookie settings panel, linked in the footer of every page.
Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary runs until you have made a choice. Measurement and marketing categories are switched off by default and stay off unless you turn them on. Your choice is stored in your browser and applied on every later page.
Categories
Strictly Necessary
Required for the site to work at all: remembering your cookie choice itself, and keeping the state of an enquiry you have already sent so the page can show you its confirmation again. These cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot do what you asked it to do.
Performance and Analytics
Optional. Used in aggregate to see which reviews are read and where something is going wrong — never to identify you personally. Off until you allow them.
Marketing
Optional. Would allow measurement of how people arrive at the site. Off until you allow them, and no advertising or profiling technology is loaded while they are off.
The Map on a Review Page
Each review page can show the location of the business on a map supplied by a third-party mapping service. Loading it means your browser contacts that provider, so it does not load on its own: you see the address and a button, and the map appears only when you allow it or ask for it.
Changing Your Mind
The cookie settings control in the footer of every page reopens the panel, and you can change or withdraw your choice there at any time. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant category from running from that point on. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser's own settings, which resets everything this site has stored — including any enquiry confirmation kept on your device.
Other Third Parties
Apart from the map described above, this site loads no fonts, scripts, videos, social widgets or form services from other domains, so no other third party sets anything through these pages.
Changes to This Policy
If what the site stores changes, this page is updated with a new date at the top.
